Shallow fashion help needed!
I'm looking for a beautiful red pendant of some sort to wear with my wedding dress. The dress is strapless and rouched, so I'm looking for something relatively short (I don't think a choker, but maybe if it was the right one) and RED. I could go gemstone (ruby or garnet) or crystal or glass or something else, but I don't want it to be too small or too big (too small won't show up; too big will overwhelm my frame). I want it to pop, but I don't want to spend a fortune. Classy is good, but fun is too. Unique is a must! I'm carrying the red bouquet in the center of the top row of the "bouquets" page here. The dress is style #3966 on this page.
Caveats--I hate yellow gold and I'm very allergic to nickel, so cheap metals are out. I can usually do silver for a limited amount of time. White gold would be awesome.
Help a girl out? (Barb and Jilli, I'm especially looking at you, fashion goddesses!)
Here are a few things that piqued my interest so far:
clicky link #1 (too busy?)
clicky link #2 (but not brass or gold)
clicky link #3 (this is too long for the wedding dress, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!)
clicky link #4 (too simple?)
clicky link #5 (HA! Just kidding.)

Date: 2009-12-11 01:42 pm (UTC)Of your clickies, I really like No. 1 and No. 4, although I worry about 4 being too small, judging by the size in the picture of it resting in someone's palm.
I found this rough cut pendant (http://www.swarovski.com/Web_US/en/1031268/product/Galet_Bordeaux_Mini_Pendant.html?CatalogCategoryName=0109). It's currently strung on cord, but if you have a chain you like, you could restring it, I think.
Very symmetrical, simple flower (http://www.swarovski.com/Web_US/en/1035135/product/Hedge_Siam_Pendant.html?CatalogCategoryName=0109)
Not exactly what you were describing, but I think it's really striking and it's only 16" long: Inner Fire garnet necklace (http://www.sundancecatalog.com/PRODUCT/Jewelry/Necklaces/47380.html).
Here's a choker that falls under the nifty category (http://www.victoriantradingco.com/store/catalogimages/1a/i15754.html).
Might be too much... not sure (http://www.victoriantradingco.com/store/catalogimages/7g/i12279.html), but I think it's awfully elegant.
Perhaps under the fun category (http://www.1928.com/bella-rouge-ruby-red-charm-necklace.html).
I like the ribbons on this one. (http://www.1928.com/bella-rouge-ruby-red-pendant-necklace.html)
