WTF

At nearly 6:30PM, it is STILL 111 degrees here. And humid.

Kill.

Me.

Now.

Oh, yuck! I'm so sorry!

Now, I may be behind in the Great AC Saga of 2006- but do you have a working AC in your place? I thought so, but now I am thinking NSM.

Anyway, 111 is like beyond my ability to comprehend, and I am SO SO SO sorry that it is not the case for you. Stay cool, pumpkin. Drink water. Jump in your landlord's pool?

Horrible, isn't it?

Yes.

Can we make the evil weather stop now? Please? It's sweltering here as well and I don't like it.

I wonder if Siberia is nice this time of year...

Not Siberia, but it was 23C [74F] and raining in Toronto today (I played golf, as a favour to a supplier at work).

It was??? That sounds heavenly. I just spent over an hour in the pool - after midnight.

[identity profile] stroppy-baggage.livejournal.com 2006-07-23 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yup, it's 3 minutes to 10 pm and it's still 84 degrees here in Seattle.

Not pleasant.

By the time you visit, it is forecast to be in the low 70's. Yay!

[identity profile] stroppy-baggage.livejournal.com 2006-07-23 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
Annnnd... it's 30 minutes past midnight and still 79 degrees.

Really, NOT happy.

[identity profile] turtleshelly.livejournal.com 2006-07-23 07:48 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, we're having the same thing here, but at least we kind of expect it. I guess you don't expect that much in your neck of the woods. Bryan even laughed at me this morning when I excitedly told him we were getting a cool front and the low for the next few days would be in the mid-90s. I was being serious, but it was too much for a Detroit boy to take seriously. :-)

Hope you've found a way to cool off appropriately! Swimming, movie theaters, and museums are all fabulously cool places during hot summers!

At that point, I'd be naked, eating a popsicle and sitting in a tub of ice water.

I live in San Francisco. It was 86 degrees in my bedroom last night (at 10PM) and 78 in the morning.

ack. But I see from my window a tendril of fog creeping closer.
