Louisiana Shelter

I saw this on New Orleans' craigslist and thought some of us might want to help a shelter directly:

hi.... wanted to let you know that the Parker Colliseum at Louisiana State University has an animal shelter... it has over 600 pets that were either abandoned or their owners are in shelters and could not bring them. They need everything from food,water, treats and toys... they also asked for harnesses, 6' leads, dog brushes, bowls, etc.....

This is a LONG-TERM effort that will continue until their owners find homes (which can take months)... they are also rescuing animals from homes and from the streets and they need stuff quick.
